University of Bayreuth – Chair of Information Systems and Human-Centered AI

The Chair of Information Systems and Human-Centered AI at the University of Bayreuth, led by Prof. Dr. Niklas Kühl researches the technical development of AI as well as the interaction between humans and AI. Focus areas include AI fairness, trust, robust AI, and effective collaboration. The chair works in an interdisciplinary way with international partners and industry. Research projects span AI-supported decision making, machine learning, and deepfakes in law enforcement. In addition to hands-on teaching, the chair is engaged in the AI Alliance and cooperates with Fraunhofer FIT and IBM. The goal is the development of responsible, scalable, and trustworthy AI applications.
